PENCILS AND SCREWDRIVERS

PENCILS AND SCREWDRIVERS 700 467 ESOTECH
If something deserves to be called “traditional”, then it is certainly the “Meeting of the Plumber Wrenches, Screwdrivers and Pencils”, which goes back to the time of the former Yugoslavia, in the previous millennium.

This year, too, at the 44th traditional meeting, sport competitions took place in several disciplines. The flagship discipline – indoor football, was won by the Pencils with a 2:1 victory in the final match. Convincingly the best in tug-of-war were the Screwdrivers and the Plumber Wrenches, both with the score of 2:0. What was decisive for the overall victory and the trophy for 2018 was the goal difference in favour of Screwdrivers and Pencils.

Congratulations to Screwdrivers and Plumber Wrenches and their captain Marjan Verboten.
The best team on the volleyball court were the Developers with the line-up of Alenka Žigon, Marko Bojinović, Grega Volk, Nejc Kolerič and Jasmin Ibriševič. The most dominant team under the baskets were the Marketers in the line-up of Irena Baš, Boštjan Pavlič, Matjaž Kodrun and Matjaž Lušnic

The most wins in table football were taken by the pairing of Drago Pavlič and Boris Štimnikar. The meeting was held in a sporting atmosphere accompanied by friendly chat, while young musicians took care of an enjoyable conclusion.

INTERNATIONAL TENDER PROCEDURE SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

INTERNATIONAL TENDER PROCEDURE SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED 600 450 ESOTECH

We are happy to announce that we have successfully concluded an international tender procedure and signed our first contract in the city of Zhytomyr, Ukraine, for the design and construction of a municipal waste water treatment plant with a capacity of 220,000 PE – which is comparable in size to the Ljubljana waste water treatment plant. The value of the investment is EUR 10.5 million.

Last September we opened an office in Kiev, established excellent relations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia and the Slovenian Embassy in Kiev. The embassy helped us get access to responsible persons at the highest posts in the Ukrainian government. We are sincerely thankful for their excellent work and support. Our engineering team is already at the site. Due to the remoteness and special requirements of the project and the Ukrainian market, in order for the project to be successful, the new business model will be followed by changes in the organisation of the project and the company. The other international contracts that we have been awarded this year – in Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia — also require us to adjust the business model to different markets.

Despite the drop in net sales revenues in 2017 compared to 2016, we managed to keep the key indicators at the same level – earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), operating profit and return on equity, while at the same time increasing cost-effectiveness and added value.

In doing so we constantly follow our vision – becoming for clients a synonym for an engineering company for comprehensive implementation of best technological and investment solutions in SE Europe. Our mission is to provide our clients with optimal technological solutions.

CONSTRUCTION OF NEW GAS TURBINES

CONSTRUCTION OF NEW GAS TURBINES 600 450 ESOTECH

Works on the project: Construction of new gas turbines 40–70 MW for the Brestanica Thermal Power Plant, under the contracts for LOT 1 and LOT 3, which started almost exactly one year ago and are in the final phase.

Concluding activities are currently taking place, such as:

  • Testing and participation in the launch of the cooling system, automatic changeover control for internal load and supply of liquid fuel (KOEL);
  • Covering of cable routes;
  • Replacement of cable trays with larger cable trays;
  • Small electrical installation works (management of cables, labelling);
  • Documentation acquisition process (operation and maintenance manual, evidence of reliability of works).

An expert technical inspection of the entire project to construct the gas generator was successfully carried out on 7 March 2018. In his speech the project manager praised all contractors for the professional attitude, good implementation of works as well as timely execution of all contractual obligations.

It was established that there are no obstacles for the technical inspection which the contracting authority intends to carry out in the first week of April 2018. The contractors have enough time to implement all necessary works and activities by that date. There are no difficulties regarding the scope of our work under both contracts, because the activities have been almost completed.

INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT HENKEL MARIBOR

INDUSTRIAL WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT HENKEL MARIBOR 600 450 ESOTECH

In the Henkel Maribor industrial waste water treatment plant project, we successfully carried out a technical inspection at the end of January and obtained a permit to continue with testing and use of the industrial waste water treatment plant in the Henkel Maribor system. We plan to carry out testing and setting up of the equipment together with the contractor for UV oxidation Enviolet GmbH in the following days. What needs to be set up for regular operation is the facility for pre-treatment of industrial waste water from the company HENKEL Maribor, with the maximum capacity of 18.75m3/h (450m3/day) for chemical and physical treatment of waste water under the procedure with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) under the influence of UV light, neutralisation, coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation.

As the project is in its concluding phase, we thank all participants in the project and representatives of the contracting authority Henkel Maribor for professional participation in its implementation.
